
Carrie-Anne Moss (born August 21, 1967[121st, 1967 [1) is a Canadian actor from Canada. After early roles on television her name was brought to international fame for her part in the role of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) earned her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) earned her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress in an Supporting Role. In addition, she played Jeri Hogarth in a variety of television series produced by Marvel Television for Netflix, particularly Jessica Jones (2015-2019). Moss was a resident in Spain at the time, was offered the role of Tara Marshall as the clerk of the Judge Nicholas Marshall, in Dark Justice. This was her first television appearance. In the course of the show, she relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss quit Dark Justice before the series was in its third season and the final one and was replaced by Elisa Heinsohn, who played Samantha "Sam" Collins. After her return to USA, she enrolled at American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. She was a model and appeared in Models Inc., a Fox primetime soap opera. The series was cancelled on July 1, 1995. Matrix the made-in Canada show that featured her as the lead actress, was cancelled in July 1995. She appeared in a number of B-movie roles during the decade that included Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill(94), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
