Niykee keeps writing music, even though she has been caught up in the recent chaos. Her selection was made to be part of the YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and he accompanied her on stage. Her songwriting routine is now a source of inspiration for hopeful producers. Niykee constantly listens to beats and finds many songs that inspire her. Within 5 seconds, I can tell whether a track is good or not. I then get an idea of an original song, and start writing it immediately. As I play my guitar on my front porch, words start to flow. Most often, I'm accomplished in 30 minutes. While she develops as a musician, Niykee says that the pain of her past serves as an endless source of unlikely inspiration. When I'm not writing literally about things that have occurred to me, the trauma of my childhood and loss of my sister in being integrated into my songs, she states. The pain of losing my sister and my childhood influence the music I write. It's crucial for me to have a deep meaning to everything I do.
